Couples

Couples Therapy for Depression is a brief (up to 20 sessions) integrative behaviourally-based treatment for couples, where there is both relationship distress and depression in one or both partners.  Developed by identifying best practice from a range of couple therapies, the overall aim of treatment is to improve a couple's relationship through helping to reduce damaging interactions, to improve communication, to build emotional openness and empathy, to encourage acceptance and to help a couple cope with the various stresses that arise within a couple relationship.
